The five demos
Every security property is a runnable, asserting script — the demos ARE the acceptance tests, and CI runs all five.
Each demo is a script that asserts its claims (not a video), runs against
mock providers with zero secrets, and is executed on every CI run. Terminal
captures live in docs/demos/.
1 · The runaway loop dies at €20
pnpm demoA scripted agent hammers the gateway with max-output calls under a €20/day
mandate. Call #72's reservation is refused before the provider is hit;
the refusal is a ledger entry; mandare verify --spend proves chain VALID
and counters == replay(ledger). This is the demo the
quickstart reproduces in your own stack. The journal
walks through this run's transcript, from the first call to the refusal at
call #72.
2 · A stolen token is dead paper
pnpm demo:dead-paperScoped tokens are proof-of-possession: a leaked token id without its
per-token secret is refused (BAD_POP), a captured signed request replays to
REPLAYED_NONCE, and after mandare kill mid-task the next perfectly valid
call gets 403 AGENT_REVOKED — with the refusal on the ledger.
3 · One signed mandate replaces 40 permission prompts
pnpm demo:mandateA passport-carrying agent (real delegation chain, every request RFC-9421-signed) runs a 6-step task with zero prompts. Step 7 crosses the approval threshold: the call holds, a push goes out, the human approves asynchronously, the call resumes. Step 8 is denied by the human — and the deny is on the ledger next to the approve.
4 · The card declines at the network
pnpm demo:cardOne €20 mandate governs BOTH rails: LLM calls settle €15, a €4.20 purchase
approves at the network via the real-time Stripe Issuing authorization
webhook, the next €3.00 declines at the network (the money never moves),
and mandare kill turns the card to dead plastic. Cross-rail totals proven
by mandare verify --spend.
5 · The rewrite that can't hide
pnpm demo:witnessHeads stream to a real witness process. A truncated ledger copy and a
re-signed rewrite — both of which pass self-anchored verification — are both
CONVICTED by mandare verify --witness. The aggregate root is anchored, and
mandare certify emits a selective-disclosure certificate a third party
verifies with no ledger access; a doctored certificate is INVALID.
